Maryam is an architecture student at University of Bahrain who is keen to learn about new things and gain experience in different fields and believes that architecture is the medium by which it can improve the local community. Maryam had an opportunity to be a part of AIAS – UoB Chapter (American Institute of Architecture Students) since 2017 and became the president in 2019. She was involved in various activities related to photography, leadership and social programmes in University of Bahrain, Ministry of Youth and Sports and Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities. Her interest in research started while preparing a research in 2018 about moving facades in Bahrain for The Mediated City 4: Moving Images Conference in Turkey and had a chance to present the research in the conference. She aspires to give back to the society with her profession in the future.
